ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE NURSING DEGREE AND OTHER MEDICAL / HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAMMES IN THE FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, AKWA IBOM STATE UNIVERSITY (AKSU) FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Management of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) wishes to notify the general public that the National Universities Commission (NUC), by a letter dated 23rd December 2025, has granted approval for the University to commence Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree programmes with effect from the 2025/2026 academic session in the underlisted programmes within the Faculty of Health Sciences:
1. Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.)
2. Public Health (B.Sc.)
3. Community Health Science (B.CHS.)
4. Health Information Management (B.HIM)
5. Science Laboratory Technology (B.Sc.)
6. Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)
7. Environmental Health Science (B.EHS)
Consequently, online applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the above-listed programmes of Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Eligibility Requirements Only UTME candidates who selected Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) as their First Choice Institution and obtained a minimum score of 290 are eligible for admission into the Nursing Science degree programme. Admission into the other programmes listed above requires a minimum UTME score of 265.
Candidates who wish to study any of these programmes at AKSU but did not initially select the University as their First Choice Institution are strongly advised to effect a Change of Institution to AKSU through the JAMB portal, immediately.
Online Registration The University portal will be open for online registration on Monday, 5th January 2026. Interested candidates are advised to complete their registration promptly. Please note that only candidates who successfully complete the online registration process will be considered for admission into the Akwa Ibom State University.
Requirements for the 2025/2026 Online Screening Exercise
1. 2025 UTME Result Slip
2. Birth Certificate
3. Certificate of Origin.
4. AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip (2025)
Registration Procedure Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise following the procedure below:
1. Visit https://www.aksu.edu.ng/app
2. Click on “START NOW”
3. Click on “Enroll”
4. Click on PUTME
5. Enter your JAMB Registration Number
6. Click the arrow below to Verify and Continue
7. Proceed to make payment of N2,000.00 only as registration fee (excluding bank charges) Note: Payment can be made via Debit Card or Transfer, then continue with the registration.
8. Upload the scanned copies of your documents (2025 UTME Result Slip, Birth Certificate, Certificate of Origin) in .jpg format with a minimum size of 120KB and maximum size of 150KB.
9. Preview the details entered to ensure accuracy.
10. After confirmation, click the “Finish” button to generate the Registration Confirmation Slip.
