Diploma Programmes
Duration: 2 academic years, made up of 4 semesters.

| 3 | Diploma in Library Science / Library and Information Science | SSCE or equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than 2 sittings. |
| 4 | Diploma in Environmental Education | SSCE or equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than 2 sittings. |
| 5 | Diploma in Educational Technology | SSCE or equivalent with at least 4 credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than 2 sittings. |
Other acceptable qualifications for Diploma admission:
- Teachers Grade Two Certificate with at least 4 merits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- NABTEB Certificate with 4 credits in relevant teaching subjects, including English Language.
- Any other qualification acceptable to Akwa Ibom State University for Diploma admission.
