Sandwich Programmes

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for admission into the Sandwich Programmes of the Institute of Education and Professional Studies of Akwa Ibom State University for the 2025/2026 Vacation Programmes. All applicants seeking admission into the B.Sc (Ed), B.A. (Ed) or B.Ed programmes must satisfy the University matriculation requirements. In addition to general requirements, the applicants must also satisfy admission requirements (Department and course) for a 3-year undergraduate degree programme.

  1. C.E. or equivalent in two relevant teaching subjects at least at merit level, and the senior school certificate WASC /NECO /NABTEB, or General Certificate of Education ordinary level with pass in five relevant subjects at credit level including mathematics and English language. OR Teachers’ Grade II Certificate with credit or merit in at least five relevant subjects including English.
  2. A pass at merit level in a relevant Diploma programme (provided the O/L requirements are satisfied).

  2. Sc. (Ed) Chemistry Education
  3. Sc. (Ed) Physics Education
  4. Sc. (Ed) Integrated Science Education
  5. Sc. (Ed) Mathematics Education
  6. A. (Ed) Religious Studies Education
  7. A. (Ed) History Education
  8. A. (Ed) English Education
  9. Sc. (Ed) Business Education
  10. Ed. Guidance and Counseling
  11. Ed. Social Studies Education

Method of Application: Application forms can be assessed online on payment of N 20,000 (Twenty thousand naira) only excluding charges. The following steps should be followed:

  1. Visit study.aksu.edu.ng
  2. Click Register Now
  3. Click Sandwich
  4. Select the Institute of Education and Professional Studies.
  5. Enter your Email Address
  6. Enter your basic details
  7. Proceed to make payment.(Note: Do not close the payment page until payment is complete)
  8. After Payments follow Step 1-4
  9. Complete the registration Form

 

NOTE: The Institute of Education and Professional Studies Akwa Ibom State University Sandwich programmes are mainly vacation programmes and are designed to take five (5) contact periods (five years).
