Profile

Dr Uwem Etim Uwah lectures in the Department of Accounting at Akwa Ibom State University. He also serves as a Facilitator in Entrepreneurship Studies at the University. 

Dr Uwah, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), is a researcher in Investment Accounting and Corporate Finance. 

As a tax adviser, he has received numerous awards in academic and accounting circles. His expertise includes financial modelling, management accounting, fiscal federalism, taxation, corporate finance, public finance, research, and statistics. 

Dr Uwah has extensive experience as a consultant in business development and expansion, and he organises seminars and workshops to support this work. He has successfully piloted several start-up businesses that have grown into major investments both within and outside Akwa Ibom State. He has received numerous awards in academia and the accounting profession. He is the Ag. Director of the AKSU Business School at Akwa Ibom State University.
