About Director<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dr. Ini-Ibehe Nabuk Etim is currently the Ag. Director,\nDirectorate of Advancement, International Collaborations and Linkages, Akwa\nIbom State University, Nigeria (AKSU). He recently won the National Key\nResearch and Development Program of China Grant as an Ass. Professor in May\n2026. He was a Visiting Ass. Professor at the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy\nof Sciences (2024 – 2025). He was the former Ag. Head, Department of Marine\nScience, AKSU, Nigeria (2021-2024). He is also a facilitator at the Africa\nCentre of Excellence for Future Energies and Electrochemical Systems\n(ACE-FUELS), FUTO, Nigeria. He is an awardee of the prestigious Chinese Academy\nof Sciences President’s International Fellowship Initiative (CAS PIFI) as a\nHigh Talent Visiting Scientist at the Institute of Oceanology CAS (2023). In\n2025, he was nominated as one of the Key Experts in the International\nCollaborative Laboratory for Material Corrosion and Protection for Belt and\nRoad Countries at Northeastern University, China. He\u2019s an awardee of the\nChinese Government Scholarship, CSC (2015). He is an ARIFA Postdoctoral Nominee\nat the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianopolis, Brazil. He\nobtained his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering (with a\nspecialty in Marine Corrosion and Protection) from the Institute of Metal\nResearch, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He obtained his M.Sc.\ndegree in Physical Chemistry in 2015 and B.Sc. in Marine Chemistry in 2010 from\nthe Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, University of Calabar, Nigeria.\nRecently, he facilitated the Joint Laboratory Collaboration between Akwa Ibom\nState University and the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He\nis a Guest Editor and one of the Youth Editorial members of the Journal of Iron\nand Steel Research International. He has over 70 scientific publications in\ninternational peer-reviewed journals in Microbial Biocorrosion, Marine Science,\nElectrochemistry, and Corrosion Protection of Materials. He has attended and\npresented at several international conferences. He is a member of the China\nSociety of Corrosion and Protection (CSCP), the African Materials Degradation\nSociety (AMDS), and the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN).<\/span>  <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
