The Management of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) wishes to notify the general public that\nthe National Universities Commission (NUC), by a letter dated 23rd December 2025, has\ngranted approval for the University to commence Full-Time Bachelor\u2019s Degree programmes\nwith effect from the 2025\/2026 academic session in the underlisted programmes within the\nFaculty of Health Sciences:<\/p>\n

6. Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)\n<\/p>\n
7. Environmental Health Science (B.EHS)\n<\/p>\n\n
Consequently, online applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for\nadmission into the above-listed programmes of Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, for\nthe 2025\/2026 academic session.\n<\/p>\n\n
Eligibility Requirements\n\uf0b7 Only UTME candidates who selected Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) as their First\nChoice Institution and obtained a minimum score of 290<\/strong> are eligible for admission into\nthe Nursing Science degree programme. Admission into the other programmes listed above requires a minimum UTME score\nof 265<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n Candidates who wish to study any of these programmes at AKSU but did not initially select the\nUniversity as their First Choice Institution are strongly advised to effect a Change of Institution\nto AKSU through the JAMB portal, immediately.<\/p>\n\n \nOnline Registration\nThe University portal will be open for online registration on Monday, 5th January 2026.\nInterested candidates are advised to complete their registration promptly.
