Ag. Director CATTL<\/h2>\n\n\n

The Director of Centre\nfor Automotive Training, Transport and Logistics (CATTL), Akwa Ibom State\nUniversity (AKSU) is the Immediate Past Ag. Head, Department of Mechanical\nEngineering, Faculty of Engineering, Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU).  He is the Immediate Former Chapter Chairman\nof the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), Akwa Ibom State\nChapter, a former National Council Member and a Fellow of the Institution<\/span>
<\/p>\n

He holds B.Eng (Mech)\nSecond Class Upper in 2002 from the University of Uyo, an M.Sc (TurboM) in 2007\nfrom the University of Sussex, United Kingdom and a Ph.D. (Mech. Eng), 2014,\nUniversity of Sussex, United Kingdom. He is a Mechanical Engineer with specialization\nin Turbomachinery<\/span>
<\/p>\n

Prior to his present position at AKSU, Dr. Ekong was\na researcher at the Thermo-Fluid Mechanics Research Centre and Rolls-Royce\nSupported University Technology Centre, University of Sussex, United Kingdom,\nand the Best M.Sc., Student in Turbomachinery – Department of Engineering and\nDesign, School of Science and Technology, University of Sussex, United Kingdom\n(2006\/07 Academic Session).<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 He is a Rolls-Royce Plc trained and Certificated Research Engineer.  <\/span>A Reviewer for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) 2013.<\/span>
