The Akwa Ibom State University Laws makes\nprovision for the Office of the Registrar<\/b>.\nBy virtue of this, the Registrar<\/b> is\nthe Chief Administrative Officer<\/b> of\nthe University, responsible for advising the Vice-Chancellor on the day-to-day\nadministrative affairs of the University. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

 <\/span><\/p>

The Registrar\nis the head of the Registry of the Akwa Ibom State University, which is the\nintegral part of the University. The Registry custodies all records, values,\ntraditions; implements policies, rules and regulations of the University. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The\nRegistry is made up of the following Directorates with their Divisions\/Units\noperating under her supervision. These includes:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

i.                  \n<\/span><\/span>Directorate of Academic\nAffairs<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

ii.               \n<\/span><\/span>Directorate of Council\nAffairs<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

iii.             \n<\/span><\/span>Directorate of General\nAdministration<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

iv.             \n<\/span><\/span>Directorate of Human\nResources<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

In\naddition to the above, Legal Services Unit operates under the direct\nsupervision of the Registrar. Also the Registrar has staff members serving\nvarious arms of the University and reporting on the professional matters. These\nincludes:<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

i.                  \n<\/span><\/span>Secretary, School of\nPostgraduate Studies<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

ii.               \n<\/span><\/span>Head of Administration, Obio\nAkpa Campus<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

iii.             \n<\/span><\/span>Student Affairs officer <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Furthermore,\nthe Registrar is the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and\nConvocation.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>
