Profile


Mr. Utibe Mfon Okon is an academic staff of the Department of Animal Science. He is a practical Animal Scientist and reserves a special research interest in meat, dairy, and egg products. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, Agriculture, Nutrition and Health Academy, Nigerian Malacological Society, and Nigerian Society for Animal Production.



Research Area


My research interest is on unconventional feedstuffs and their effect on meat quality, fatty acid and lipid profile, and palatability of meat animals. I also look keenly into the ante-mortem and post-mortem factors affecting meat quality and safety.
