 He holds a M.Sc. in Exploration Geophysice from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria (2010) and a PhD in Applied Geophysics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka-Anambra State in Nigeria (2019).

 He served Nigeria through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Afrowater Nigeria Limited in Bauchi State between May 1993 and April 1994. He is an active member of the following Professional Associations: 
  • American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG) 
  • Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) 
  • Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) 
  • Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE). 
 His M.Sc. thesis won the Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE) – UAP GrantsIn-Aid Award, 2009. He has practiced Well-Site Hydrogeology at the Supervisory level with Afrowater Nigeria Ltd, Bauchi. He worked as a QC – Seismologist on the Seismic Crew (CNPC – CREW 9811) of Shell Petroleum Development Company, Warri in Delta State. In 2001, after being trained on Emergency Response and HSE by EXXONMOBIL, he worked with the Loss Prevention department at the Bonny River Terminal (BRT) of the Company. He has been trained by EXXONMOBIL on Geotechnical Data Management using PETREL Software and has a Certificate for it. On 26 to 29 September, 2017, he attended a four-day workshop on Basic Log Interpretation and Formation Evaluation, organized by Schlumberger / NAPE; He also has Certificate for it. On 22 to 26 July, 2019, he attended courses on Petrel Structural/ Property Modelling at the Schlumberger NEXT Training Centre, Lekki-Lagos, and has Certificates for both.  Since January 2018, he has been a member of the Advisory Council of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationist (NAPE - National). He is also currently a member of NAPE – National Electoral Committee. He is a Christian and married with children.
