Profile

Iniemem James Inim is from Uyo L.G.A of Akwa Ibom, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from the University of Calabar in 2007, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geology with specialization in Hydrogeology and Engineering from the prestigious University of Ibadan in 2011 and presently a PhD Scholar on Groundwater vulnerability, isotope and hydrogeochemistry in the same University. Research Interest: He is an enthusiastic early career academic with field and laboratory experience in sample (data) collection and analysis. His research interest is broad-based and ranged widely over the Hydro – Engineering geological spectrum including, hydrogeochemistry, environmental isotopes in groundwater, contaminant migration, groundwater vulnerability, saltwater intrusion, groundwater-surface water interaction, risk assessment in landfills and engineering performance of geomaterials. Iniemem, has worked in the private and academic sectors, he joined the Department of Geology, Akwa Ibom State University in 2013,  and among other academic responsibilities, he plans and leads the department to execute her yearly geological field mapping. He has been involved in several field and laboratory-based research for individuals, organizations, governments and institutions. Some of this includes the construction of boreholes and stanchion erection projects for residential buildings. The rehabilitation of borehole and reticulation of solar water scheme (UNICEF WASH_PROJECT). Geological mapping of NSUKKA SHEET 287. Geophysical investigation for groundwater and site investigation for engineering structures in Akwa Ibom. He has published and presented several academic papers in international journals and conferences. He is an active member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists (NAH), Nigerian Mining and Geoscientist Society (NMGS) and American Standard for Testing Materials (ASTM).
