Engr. Dr. Enyenihi Henry Johnson is a native of Oyubia in Ibighi Clan of Urueoffong/Oruko Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Dr. Johnson is an alumnus of the famous Hope Waddell Training Institute, Calabar in Cross River State where he served as the Health Prefect. He is a pioneer product of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Uyo where he graduated with B.Eng in Computer Engineering in 2004. While in University of Uyo, he held several leadership positions including Pioneer President – Association of Computer Engineering Students (ACES) and Pioneer Engineering Representative – Student Union Government Parliament.
 
Upon graduation in 2004, he worked briefly with the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State as a Research Assistant before proceeding to the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom in 2006 for post graduate studies. He obtained an MSc in Communication Networks and Software in 2007 and a PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2012 all from the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom. His research interests include but not limited to Computer Engineering, Data and Wireless Communication, and Network Security.
 
Dr. Johnson joined Akwa Ibom State University of Technology (AKUTECH) now Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) as a pioneer staff in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2006. He was the Ag. Head, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering between 2016 and 2018. In addition to lecturing, he also holds several leadership and administrative positions within the University in the Department, Faculty of Engineering, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU-AKSU) and AKSU Academic Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society amongst others. He has over thirty (30) publications and have attended several conferences within and outside the country.    

Dr. Johnson is a member of several professional bodies which include: Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), United Kingdom; Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (IEEE), USA; IEEE Communication Society, USA; IEEE Computer Society, USA; Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and registered member, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He has also been involved in external consultancy services with the Brilliant Touch Group.

Dr. Johnson is a passionate humanitarian service worker with over twenty (20) years commitment as a member of a leadership development and humanitarian organization called JayCees International (JCI). He believes in one of the verses of the JCI creed that says “Service to humanity is the best work of life”. He has been involved in humanitarian service activities locally as a member of University of Uyo Collegiate JayCees and JCI Port Harcourt Metro Chapter, as well as internationally as a member of JCI London, United Kingdom. Dr. Johnson also held several leadership and administrative positions in the organization.
