Dr. Akaenyi, Nkiruka Jacinta is a lecturer in the Department of Performing Arts, Akwa Ibom State University.  She obtained her Ph.D, M.A and B.A from three prestigious Nigerian Universities; University of Port Harcourt, University of Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka respectively, specializing in Theory and Criticism of Dramatic Literature. In addition to all these, she has successfully supervised four undergraduate projects and has written several plays and articles. Dr. Akaenyi has taught several Postgraduate and  undergraduate courses and she engages in scholarly presentation of papers during conferences both within and outside Nigeria. As part of her administrative experience, she has served in the Department of Performing Arts as an  Examination/ Time-table officer,  and is currently the Head, Department of Performing Arts, a member of Examination Misconduct Committee, Department of Performing Arts, Akwa Ibom State University.  She has earned several grants and awards.
