Dr. Emaime Jimmy Uwanta is a senior lecturer in the department of Chemistry, Akwa Ibom State University. She obtained a PhD in Analytical and Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2018. She lectures several courses in the department, such as Polymer Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Colour Chemistry, Practical Chemistry etc. Dr Uwanta is the coordinator of general chemistry in Obio Akpa campus of the University and she is a member of the Departmental Disciplinary committee.

Dr. Uwanta is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) and has attended several seminars and workshops. She has presented papers in learned conferences and has published over sixteen (16) articles in reputable journals; some of her publications are listed below;
