Profile


Engr. Odiong obtained M.eng (Water  Resources Engineering) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2021 and B.eng (Civil Engineering) in 2011. He is registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)  and the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He joined the workforce of AKSU as a graduate assistant in 2016. In team with senior lecturers, He has taught Strength of Materials, Public Health Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Engineering Hydraulics in the department and Faculty. 

Immediately after graduation, He joined Geotechnical Engineering Services Ltd as an Assistant Engineer. Here, He had hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering and erosion/flood control works. He also became a team-lead and consultant representative. Some of these projects led him to;
* Manage 8 exploration sites and a team member in over 15 projects involving, buildings,
bridges, highways and foundation for pylons, tank farm, jetty and over-head water tanks
using; Standard penetration test machine; 2.5-ton and 10-ton cone penetrometers; Pilcon 
Wayfarer drilling rig and pocket probe.
* Perform laboratory test on soils (oedometer, triaxial, atterberg limits and unconfined 
compressive tests), interpretation of soil test data and application in foundation analysis and 
design.
* Conduct integrity test on concrete structures.
* Design of coastal structures (jetty, retaining and sheet pile walls), its supervision and 
construction.

He is a Christian and loves to play the game of Chess.
