Dr. Edidiong Emmanuel Ikpe was born on 9th June, 1977 in Calabar, Cross River State, hail from Ikot Ekang Itam, Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. His academic journey began at the Mfonabasi Kindergarten and Primary School, Nwut-Usiong Itam, Itu Local Government Area (1985-1989) and Junior Secondary Education at Lutheran High School, Obot Idim Ibesikpo (1990 – 1992) as well as Senior Secondary school at St. Mary’s Science College, Ediene Abak (1993-1995). Later proceed to the University of Uyo, where He obtained the Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Chemistry and Master of Science Analytical Chemistry, in the years 2004 and 2010 respectively. In 2019, he bagged a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Great University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. His academic services to the Akwa Ibom State University as an assistant lecturer in the department of chemistry began in 2014. He is a member of several professional bodies, such as the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Nigeria Institute of Science Technology (NIST), and the Institute of Science Technology. London (IST). Ikpe has contributed immensely to the development and advancement of knowledge with well over twenty-two research articles published in reputable international journals and several other ongoing types of research yet to be published. The major area of His specialization is Analytical/Environmental Chemistry but has taught courses in inorganic, environmental, and polymer chemistry. Series of awards have been obtained amongst which are;
