Profile
Mr. Aniediong Umo is a native of Ukpom Abak, Nigeria. He received his B.Eng. (2011) and M.Eng. (2016) in chemical engineering from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. He joined the Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, Nigeria in 2018 where he is a lecturer II and the examination officer in the Department of Chemical /Petrochemical Engineering. He is an assistant examiner practical chemistry, National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB). He had served as a Presiding Officer Eghosa Grammar School Polling Unit, Edo State Gubernatorial Election July 2012, and was President of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Engineering Community Development Service, Ego, Benin City, July 2012-October 2012. He was awarded NYSC state merit award in 2012. His research activities are process design, fabrication, modeling, simulation, control and optimization. He has published nine papers in both local and international journals. His design and fabrication works include fixed bed gasifier, steam distillation unit for extraction of essential oil, made in AKSU foot operated hand washing and sanitizing system, fired tube steam boiler, soap extruder, pelletizer and tableting machine.
